A community livelihood program development specialist with more than nineteen years of experience working in environmentally sound community project targetd at vulnerable populations. Design, management and organizational strengthening in Nigeria, Cameroun, Kenya and Costa Rica
Designed and managed the USAID-MARKETS Family Nutritional Support / Livelihood and Nutrition program focused on Care givers of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC). Strengthened the organizational capacity of 120 local organizations in 13 states of Nigeria to meet USAID contract requirements, conduct community assessments, and provide integrated training to improve household-level nutrition and income. Designed and managed the Community Based Natural Resource Management component of USAID – Sustainable Practices in Agriculture for Critical Environment, Design resource user groups training packages including group formation , land use plan manual, Snail/Grasscutter farming hand book.
Took part as a gender consultant in assessing progress in State Government’s mainstreaming of gender equality into the State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (CR-SEEDS). Trained selected Cameroun based conservation NGO staff on the use of participatory learning and action (PLA) methods to mitigate climate change impacts on rural livelihoods.
