Charles Wambugu is a researcher in social sciences and a dissemination specialist in agricultural, environmental and development fields with over 20 years of experience. He holds an Msc in Agricultural Extension and a BSc in agriculture. He has worked as a consultant for the United Nations programmes, donor funded projects and as a researcher for World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). He has served as an extension officer for Kenya government and NGOs in the East African region. He has experience in coordination of regional programmes involving multi-disciplinary teams in east, central and south African regions. He has authored a number of scientific papers published in refereed and peer reviewed journals in addition to a number of extension and training materials. He has worked and travelled widely within Africa and parts of Asia. He has helped in project gender mainstreaming for several programmes
