1.Michael Comms is one of friends in the international organic agriculture network. As I mentioned he’s working with Green net and Earth net foundations in Thailand. We’ve been conducted rice chain programs together. May be you know Vitoon Punyakal who’s in the IFOAM accreditation world board, also works with Green net foundation.
2.Still I don’t know about your community and the use of me. But as I directly working with extremely poor farmer communities it'll be very valuable to get more understanding on gender aspects. Though I already have little knowledge about it, keen to understand others perspectives. Since gender it self has different definitions this sort of interaction would be useful.
Thanks- I am actually new to this area: Am looking for examples of interventions and programmes that have relaxed the constraints women cash crop farmers face in the market. Any pointer/reference would be much appreciated.
Hi all! I have part of my time on the ICCO, KIT and SNV initiative on bio cotton production. I kindly get interresting papers on the aGender action learning. I'm on to submit our proposal for this action learning. Thanks so for the great work that has been done to make available gender documentation;
Dat wordt cacao (Ivoorkust/Ghana - ga ik eind oktober naar toe) of soja (India). Ik zal onze gender coördinator aldaar ook uitnodigen voor deze Ning.

Hi Roel,
Thanks for your message. Yes, the e-consultation this week should be really interesting. I would encourage you to sign up for it (I don't see your name on the participant list). I have a list but have no idea how many of those signed up are members of the Gender in Value Chains online platform. Not many, I don't think. If you could drum up more participants, that would be great. Happy to skype with you after the event.
Best,
Ruth
Dear Roel, thank you for accepting my request. Its great to find a forum like this. I hope I will be able to give some inputs in the area of palmoil production and gender, which I did my master thesis about.
Hi Roel, thanks for your welcome. Yes, would welcome a chance to connect regarding the write shop. This could include e.g. identifying specific Oxfam supported initiatives which could contribute to the learning event or using opportunity for more proactive collaboration / wider sharing of our organisational learning. Perhaps we can skype and discuss at some point in early August. Would also be good to know who you are directly working with in Novib on this so we can be more joined up. Sally
Hi Roel,
Very soon I'll submit a case for our upcoming writeshop on gender in value chains. A lot of successful case in dairy value chain project in Bangladesh funded by Bill and Melinda gates foundation. Best regards. Kohinoor Akhter
Thanks for your words. It's great to have a forum like this that relates exactly to what I am involved in. You pointed out rightly, the call for cases is greatly relevant to my interests. I will soon submit a case for the writeshop where we worked with women on the value chain of vegetables in India.
Best regards,
Shipra
Thank you for the invitation to the forum! I've had a small peek through and it seems fantastic. Good work! I'm looking forward to reading through it some more.
